Biography

"I see my works as memories of what really matters in life, for myself and hopefully for others."

Contemporary and traditional materials and techniques converge in the work of Tal Nehoray (born 1975, Rome), a multidisciplinary artist working from a small beach town in Israel. Armed with colour and a style reminiscent of pop art, she critiques Western culture, particularly our views on consumption and the illusion of happiness that, sooner or later, we all get trapped in.

We attempt to buy happiness, shiny and packaged. But the emptiness inside is what Nehoray aims to underscore with her collection of cheerful ceramic pills, coloured with auto paint. Whether on the wall or the coffee table, the pills serve as an artistic and lasting reminder not to fall into that trap. The pills are available in limited editions of 15, each personally signed and numbered by Tal.

Tal studied art at the University of Tel Aviv and gained experience in various private art studios in New York and Israel. She exhibits at art fairs around the world.
